Greetings.  I am preparing for a two week adventure at an artist residency at Centrum in Port Townsend, Washington.  It always takes longer to get ready for a short trip than it does just to stay home for a couple of weeks!

I am as happy as I can be right now.  Finished a few new fabric pieces over the past few months. Fewer than I had expected.  I was inert for a few months after the death of a friend, followed by the death of my mother four months ago.

My world is still surreal.  I am different.  The world is different.  My art is similar, but still the creative process is quite oddly askew.

While at Centrum, I will work on a project that I have planned — involves four generations of creative women who all had white hair at age 59.  That’s where I am right now.  The other plan is to do a trunk show at Karen’s Sewing Center in Sequim, down the road apiece from Port Townsend.

Whatever the outcome, my fabric pieces will be shown to a new, appreciative audience.  I like that.

My purpose in opening this new page is to separate my woe from my joy, even though they are all a part of me.  Here’s one view of me.

You will have to stay tuned for the whole experience, followed by my life as I know it.

    Hi Peggy,

Have a wonderful trip….sounds very fun!

Interesting….I just read your e-mail and went to this sight.

I had a brief dream last night that I was at Raley’s and I saw you in the produce section…I saw the back of you and I didn’t call out to you to say hello….I just kept shopping….hmmm…don’t know what that means????

Anyway, it couldn’t have been you if you were on your way to Washington…

Oh, also, not sure if your former co-worker Monica M. (her last name is escaping me) has contacted you lately or not….Roland is her case manager/coach….she was in our office last week having her UI form signed and somehow it came up that she used to work at the Mind Institute…and I mentioned you and she said, “Yes, I know Peggy. I just love her…..”

She just completed her Medical Assistant training and is in job search mode. Small world!!!!!

    Have fun….hope the weather’s decent
